Schumann Intermezzo from F-A-E Sonata

Robert Schumann - F-A-E Sonata: II. Intermezzo for viola and piano (arr. Clifton Harrison)
Clifton Harrison | viola
Domenico Ricci | piano pre-record

Here we are on Episode 3 of my series: One Camera, One Take. As we continue to self-isolate, music still finds a way to reach us all. Like many of my music colleagues, my heart is missing performing and connecting with people through music. Here I present Robert Schumann's Intermezzo, originally written for violin and piano.

Domenico Ricci joins me here on piano again. We have practised together on many occasions though we have never met. His website (https://www.mypianoaccompaniment.com/) is full of recorded piano parts to major works for many instruments. Do check it out. I do hope you enjoy this performance. It is recorded on one camera and in one take. This way the performance feels more like a live concert, warts and all. :)

Recorded on 8 April 2020
