String Quartets by African Composers

EKELE: A Celebration of African Art Composers by Rebeca Omordia & The Institute of Art & Music (AMI5). Media partners: Fourchiefs Media Productions and Colourful Radio.

In 2019 the award winning Nigerian-Romanian pianist Rebeca Omordia launched in partnership with the Institute of Art and Music the first ever African Concert Series at the October Gallery in London, described by the BBC as “the African Art Music makes a comeback”. The programme of the series reflects the depth and diversity of African art music, the richly diverse genre of music that originated in Ghana and Nigeria, which forms a bridge between Western classical music and traditional African music.’
