Mala & The Outlook Orchestra

Lose yourself in a night of bass and dubstep from legendary producer Mala, The Outlook Orchestra and special guest vocalists.

Together they perform the best of Mala’s own productions and remixes, music from the vaults of DEEP MEDi and DMZ, and tracks from Mala In Cuba and his Peru-inspired Mirrors project.

Mala joins the orchestra on the controls through a performance celebrating some of the biggest pioneering bass-driven tracks of his generation, including tracks by The Bug, Skream, Benga, Kahn, Sir Spyro, Loefah and Goth-Trad.

Mala was instrumental in the creation of the dubstep scene, forming production outfit Digital Mystik with Coki and, together with Loefah and Sgt Pokes, launching flagship club night DMZ. As dubstep began to shift from a tiny collective to an international movement, Mala was at the forefront of the wave, taking his frequencies to ever increasing audiences and communities.

Almost 20 years later, his ideas and his creations continue to influence, push and fuse contemporary electronic music.

The 20-piece Outlook Orchestra features some of the UK's finest musicians and includes two drummers in an extended rhythm section, along with large string and horn sections. The Orchestra is conducted by Tommy Evans.
